Papineau Wittman Group is an independent real estate appraisal firm located in the Southwest suburban area specializing in residential appraisals including single-family houses, condominiums, two to four unit apartments and vacant land located in the South, Southwest and Western suburbs of Chicago. Appraisals are made for a broad range of purposes including sale, loan underwriting, tax, PMI removal, relocation, insurance valuation, estate, divorce, and investment decisions. Clients include banks, savings and loans, mortgage companies, credit unions, employee transfer companies, business corporations, FHA/HUD, VA, Fannie Mae, attorneys and individuals. We cover only market areas in which we are comfortable with our knowledge and abilities. Professional real estate appraisal services of the highest quality prepared in a timely manner is our goal. First established as Don J. Papineau & Associates, Ltd. in 1983, the firm became Papineau Wittman Group in 2012 when Don Papineau formed a partnership with his longtime associate Bruce R. Wittman, SRA.

All appraisers serving Papineau Wittman Group offer full-time service. Supporting our staff, we have the help of two clerical aides seasoned in all aspects of the appraisal requirements.
Bruce Wittman holds the SRA professional membership designation with the Appraisal Institute. Requirements for the SRA designation are:
- Pass rigorous education requirements
- Submit residential experience which must meet strict criteria
- Receive credit for a demonstration report
- Conduct professional activities in accordance with the Appraisal Institute Code of Professional Ethics and are subject to a peer review process which enforces the Code of Professional Ethics.
- Appraisal Institute SRA members are required to adhere to strict continuing education requirements to ensure they are up-to-date with the evolving real estate field.
